Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, strong observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in preventing loss and ensuring the safety of all individuals on the premises.

Duties

Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.

Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies.

Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to detect suspicious activities.

Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage.

Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Prepare detailed reports of incidents, observations, and actions taken.

Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary during investigations.

Provide assistance in conflict management situations as they arise.

Administer CPR and first aid when required, ensuring the health and safety of individuals.

Skills

Strong background in law enforcement or military experience is preferred.

Proficient in conflict management techniques to handle difficult situations effectively.

Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.

Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques.

Knowledge of loss prevention strategies to safeguard assets.

Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.

Ability to remain calm under pressure while making quick decisions.

Strong communication skills for effective interaction with diverse groups.

Physical Ability: Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods walking or at an assigned work station.

Sensory Requirements: Most tasks require visual perception and discrimination. Some tasks require oral communications ability.

Environmental Factors: Tasks are regularly performed with some risk of exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dust, humidity, rain, temperature extremes, traffic hazards, and violence.

Pay: $16.01 - $19.51 per hour
