Position:  Armed Security Officer

Scope:

At David’s Loft Clinical Programs, we owe our success to people and processes. An armed security guard is the supportive force behind DLCP, and we are currently seeking someone exceptional to take the helm. The ideal candidate will provide a secure environment for the clients, visitors, staff, property, building, and grounds. The candidate should also have experience working in armed security. An ability to multitask, handle crisis situations, and maintain a safe environment.

Status: Non-Exempt

Responsibilities: 

1. Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently
2. Monitor and control access at building entrances and admit appropriate personnel and/or guests
3. Conducts investigations while maintaining confidentiality and write clear, concise and accurate written reports
4. Respond to routine and emergency calls for various types of service and take action as appropriate.
5. Conduct monthly drills
6. Patrol building and surrounding property
7. Escort staff and assist in other general services, including locking and unlocking buildings and rooms.
8. Secure building and set alarm at the end of the business day
9. Perform searches on new intake clients
10. Perform random searches for contraband on clients to ensure clients adhere to DLCP’s policies
11. Other duties as assigned as needed to drive our organization's mission, vision, and values

Requirements and Qualifications:

1. Security, law enforcement and/or military experience is preferred
2. Have a valid U.S. motor vehicle driver's license; must pass a state and federal background check; have and maintain a clean motor vehicle driving record (no more than two current points).
3. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
4. Valid guard card is required
5. Must have a valid permit to carry a handgun
6. Must be able to walk, stand and climb stairs for extended periods of time in order to conduct routine rounds and to patrol buildings

Director of Security

Physical Capacity: 

Must be able to sit and stand for 20 minutes and lift at least 10 lbs.
