The Entry Control/ Security Specialist will be proving support to the 711th Human Performance Wing.
Essential Job Functions:
- Verifies identification of personnel and ensures only authorized personnel are permitted access to facility.
- Enrolls authorized personnel into automated access control systems (card readers) as required.
- Receives and assists visitors entering the facility.
- Contacts sponsors and arranges escorts when required.
- Verifies deliveries of mail, shipments and other deliveries, contacts appropriate personnel to receive mail/shipments/deliveries.
- Verifies security clearances when required, via JPAS or DISS or through the 711th HPW Security Office. Tracks, manages, and maintains accountability of all Visitor badges.
- Instructs visitors on facility security requirements and procedures, such as proper badge display, emergency procedures, emergency reporting and local facility security policies.
- Receives and records telephone, written, and in person information, measures, and instructions involving routine activities, emergencies, violations, complaints, accidents, incidents, and request for assistance.
- Transmits and relays information and instruction to personnel inside the facility, the 711th HPW Security Office and/or other concerned individuals and agencies.
- Assists security and other personnel with performing Physical Security, Information Security, Antiterrorism and Force Protection duties to protect personnel, information and resources inside the facility.
- Receives and initiates security reporting and alerting procedures to relay threats, exercises, or general information, as needed.
- Implements the appropriate checklists and contingency actions in response to incidents, emergencies and hostile or potentially hostile actions.
- Receives request for facility access for entry by government and contractor employees, and visitors.
- Verifies access authorization and issues facility badges, tracks visitors, and briefs personnel on entry and other security and emergency requirements for the facility.
- Tracks, manages, and implements Random Anti-Terrorism Measures such as identification checks of personnel entering the facility, inspection and verification of mail, shipments and other deliveries, and facility security checks.
- Implements the appropriate actions during incidents, emergencies and hostile actions.
- Manages and operates other electronic security systems such as Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), electronic access control systems, and intrusion detection systems.
- Assists the 711 HPW Chief of Security with the development of physical security and antiterrorism measures.
- High School/Associates - experience with Office software, experience with the Defense Information Security System (DISS), previous Entry Control/Security background.
- Must provide OPSEC protection for all sensitive/critical information as defined by AFI 10-701 (Operations Security), the 711 HPW OPSEC Plan, and 711 HPW Critical Information and Indicators List (CIIL).
- Must currently have an active Secret DoD Clearance.
