System High is looking for an experienced and motivated mid-level Security Specialist to join our team at the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The Specialist will assist with the planning, review and assessment of physical and electronic security infrastructure installation on CONUS/ OCONUS missile defense sites
The applicant will perform functions to include:
- Assist with planning, developing, and coordinating Electronic Security System (ESS) Performance Verification, Testing and Acceptance (PVT&A) documentation. Prepare, coordinate, staff, and disseminate security related correspondence and reports in support of the PVT&A process (e.g., Alarm Test Report and PVT&A Log).
- Assist with planning and assessment of the MDA Electronic Security System Program. Participate in inter- and intra-agency collaborative efforts, prepare reports and memoranda, assist in revising existing or developing new policies, plans, procedures and training material, and make recommendations
- Identify Physical Security requirements pertaining to security designs, construction, renovation, and/or modification of MILCON projects, GSA leased facilities, and operational and test program sites
- Assist with planning, developing, and executing Physical Security Site Surveys for controlled facility designation and accreditation and/or decertification of open storage areas (OSAs) up to and including Top Secret. Prepare and coordinate Physical Security Site Survey forms, checklists, and/or comment matrix and accreditation, designation and/or decertification memorandums IAW DoD and MDA guidance
- Provide Security System Level (SSL) analytical expertise support IAW applicable DoD security regulations and UFCs
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated knowledge of ESS, OSA's and basic testing of various security systems
- Protection Management knowledge as it relates to Controlled Facilities (CF) and Open Storage Areas (OSA)
- Have knowledge on creating and managing Visitor Authorization Requests (VARs) and Entry Authority Lists (EALs)
- Clearance: Secret
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree relevant to the Security field preferred
- 8 or more years' experience working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD programs/projects
