A Security Officer will provide a customer service orientated environment for both guests and employees while conducting various safety procedures to the hotel and restaurant. Performs duties in a courteous and restrained manner in coping with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances and threats to life and property to maintain a safe and secure environment. Above all, ensure each guest experiences SINGULAR SERVICE which is both remarkable and personalized.
Conduct patrols and identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions.
• Expedite response to emergency conditions such as fire or safety hazards and threats to life and/or property.
• Handle undesired conduct and violations of hotel policy as warranted.
• Adhere to hotel requirements for guest/employee accidents or injuries and in emergency situations.
• Work with Housekeeping & Engineering teams to ensure property safety guidelines are in place and being followed.
• Maintain a daily inventory of all keys and electronic devices that will be documented and communicated to applicable managers/directors.
• Ensure security of guestroom access and hotel building access including limited hours of access for specific entrances.
• Conduct locker inspections which will be on an as needed basis and coordinated with HR.
• Conduct baggage checks which will be on an as needed basis and coordinated with HR.
• Investigate accidents, thefts, property loss and unlawful activities. Prepare incident reports based and communicate to proper leadership.
• Monitor life safety system installed at property.
• Answer security radio and respond in a timely manner based on priority.
• Assist in managing lost and found, ensuring prompt communications with hotel guests.
• Escort guests and employees as required.
• Assist guests with door locks and in-room safes.
• Monitor local and national news and weather for any safety and weather-related issues.
