We are seeking a reliable and experienced VA Armed Security Corporal to become an integral part of our team. The selected individual will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons. Full Time and part time positions available. The pay rate for this position is $18.00 per hour.
Full time candidates MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS. This is an absolute requirement. Applicants who cannot work weekends will not be considered for full time employment.
Corporals must be available to work the following schedule: 2-3-2 Schedule (Pitman fixed schedule). Corporals MUST BE WILLING TO BE "ON CALL" to help cover open shifts on scheduled days off.
Any hours worked after the 40 hours/week will be seen as overtime which will be at a rate of $27/hour.

Monday: On Duty (6pm-6am)
Tuesday: On Duty (6pm-6am)
Wednesday: Off Duty

Sunday: On Duty (6pm-6am)
Short Week:
Monday: Off Duty
Tuesday: Off Duty
Wednesday: On Duty (6pm-6am)

Friday: Off Duty

Responsibilities:
Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes
Request emergency personnel for high risk situations

Qualifications:
- Must have a current and valid armed VA DCJS license. (MUST HOLD A VIRGINIA STATE DCJS ARMED LICENSE)
- 2 years previous experience in armed security, law enforcement, corrections, or active duty military
- First Aid and CPR/AED certified
- Must be capable of standing, walking, climbing stairs, running, physically restraining a violent person, lifting objects weighing up to 50 lb
- Strong attention to detail
