Summary
Responsible for fully researching and investigating locations of suspected electric energy diversion when public safety and/or proper metering of electric services are compromised. The job involves eliminating theft/diversion by means of cutting & removing electric service at a weather head, pole, handhole. The Revenue Security Representative develops documentation for internal and external legal, corporate security or law enforcement authorities while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor in adversarial situations. These orders must be worked safely and in a prescribed timeframe resulting in proper delivery and measurement of electric energy.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned.Directly or through others, the incumbent:
- Recognizes proper and improper meter base wiring and meter tampering to evaluate the integrity of self-contained and instrument rated meter installations.
- Takes appropriate actions (i.e. remove meter, cut overhead service, or disconnect underground immediately stopping theft and removing a public hazard while following company's safety rules/regulations.)
- Documents findings using, but not limited to, computer applications (Database, Word Processing and Spreadsheets), digital camera, and the securing of evidence on diversion investigation for all types of retail customer accounts to protect the employee and the Company in the event of challenges.
- Researches, verifies and records data in both CIS and Maximo systems to ensure accurate inventory management and retail customer billing.
- Coordinates with other functional groups, primarily Corporate Security, Field Service Reps, Billing, Tampering Review Team, Construction Services, and Executive Referrals to ensure proper procedures are followed and appropriate actions taken.
- Performs all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent is required; Associate or Bachelors Degree is preferred
- Two years work experience in the electric metering field service is preferred
- Possession of a valid Texas Driver License, Class C is required
- Possess a practical understanding of the Safety Handbook relative to Measurement Services.
- Knowledge of PC and Company applications.
- Demonstrates knowledge of metering applications to include proper socket wiring diagrams, voltages, and dangers associated with those applications.
- Ability to recognize sub-standard metering installations and take appropriate action to correct.
- Interaction with internal and external stake holders to resolve issues in accord with Company policies and standards.
- Demonstrates contribution to workgroup and Company goals.
- Demonstrates ability to perform work with minimum supervision while maintaining a continuing mentoring relationship with assigned personnel.
- Follows Measurement Services safety procedures to ensure safety of employee and public.
