Are you a skilled phlebotomist with a passion for patient care? We're seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist III - Float to join our team. In this role, you'll provide essential phlebotomy services across multiple locations, ensuring accurate and efficient blood draws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Build rapport with patients, explaining procedures and alleviating any concerns.
- Blood Collection: Perform accurate and efficient blood draws, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Specimen Preparation: Prepare blood specimens for laboratory testing, adhering to strict quality control standards.
- Multi-Site Coverage: Provide flexible coverage at various locations, including patient service centers, doctor's offices, and long-term care facilities.
- Leadership and Mentoring: Mentor and train new phlebotomists, sharing expertise and best practices.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to patient care, specimen collection, and laboratory processes.
- Compliance Adherence: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Experience: 5+ years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).
- Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications: Current CPR certification.
