We have offices across the Gulf region of the United States including an office in Mobile, Alabama that is looking for a local candidate in the Mobile area to fill an Accounting Manager role. About The Role Reporting to the company's head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) in Houston, the Accounting Manager in Mobile will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities related to our Non-Destructive Testing subsidiary company. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting functions including payroll, billing, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This includes Accounting Oversight: Supervising the accounting team (Payroll and Billing), ensuring accurate and timely processing, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Financial Reporting: Preparing financial reports for senior management, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Analyzing financial performance and providing insights for strategic decision-making. Compliance & Controls: Ensuring adherence to accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records. Assist with all audits of the combined group of companies. Project Accounting: Managing accounting activities for the company's projects, including cost tracking, project budgeting, and revenue recognition, and collaborating with Operations Managers to ensure financial accuracy and reporting. Payroll & Biling: Ensuring local payroll team accurately and timely submit time and ensuring the timely and accurate processing and reconciliation of weekly payroll and that billing team prepares, verifies and processes billing submissions in an accurate and timely manner Monthly Closing Process: Responsible for oversight and execution of monthly accounting close process including all monthly reconciliations and journal entries and preparation and presentation of all meeting materials for monthly business review held on 4th Thursday of every month. Other: All other duties as assigned by CEO of NDE company or Corporate Finance Team of PMI. Requirements What You'll Bring to the Role Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance. CPA preferred. 5 years' working experience within accounting-related position, with 2 years' supervisory experience Strong technical accounting skills including GAAP accounting and reporting requirements as well as experience with payroll and billing collections and audit Priority will be given to candidates with experience in the construction industrial market Ability to create excellent working relationships with Operations Leaders and Accounting team Ability to meet deadlines with accuracy and confidence A Team Player mindset built on a foundation of Ethics and Integrity in everything you do Strong experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) We are an Equal Opportunity Employer We will not accept any unsolicited resumes from any third-party recruiting agencies for this role at this time.
