Accounting Manager - Global Technology

Global Technology Manufacturing company headquartered just north of Boston is looking for an Accounting Manager to add to the team! This individual will be responsible for partnering directly with Global teams for Accounting, Reporting, and management of Capital Assets / Expenditures and related depreciation. This individual will also be the point person for External Auditors for items that relate to Inventory / Fixed Assets.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage monthly closing of financials for multiple manufacturing facilities in various states in accordance with US GAAP and Company policies.
  • Help design, implement and enforce effective controls (SOX-compliant), accounting processes, systems and procedures
  • Direct ownership of the Fixed Asset ledger, and related capitalization, depreciation, and inventory
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with various departments and effectively deliver results including Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Operations and Internal Audit.
  • Financial reporting for strategic decision-support as it relates to Fixed Assets
  • Mentor, train, and supervise a small team off Staff / Senior Accountants.
  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
  • Ensure organizations financial transactions are properly recorded in the correct accounts within the GL, in compliance with GAAP
  • Prepare and review annual/quarterly budgets vs. actual operating statements on property and managing entity level.
  • Direct point of contact for External Auditors for related matters
  • Review the work of junior-level staff
  • Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as needed.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of corporate Accounting experience
  • Manufacturing / Technology industry experience is highly preferred
  • Public Accounting is a plus but not required
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Interest in growing with the organization
