In support of the Company's mission, this position will be responsible for the transformation of financial systems. This position will be the accounting lead supporting business transformation processes focusing on various modules of Oracle Fusion ERP including interfaces with other ERP applications and legacy applications. This position will interact primarily with cross functional teams such as such as IT, FP&A, reporting, treasury, tax and operational finance teams and external consultants to quickly and accurately review exceptions, troubleshoot and resolve issues including data reconciliation between various financial systems during close. This person must be able to work comfortably in a fast paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop policy and procedures around master data management of general ledger accounts and account chart string. Lead the global chart of account management and update across multiple systems
- Lead the product strategy and roadmap for the Oracle ERP Cloud Financials product suite, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder requirements.
- Assist the consolidation and accounting operations team in reviewing, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data reconciliation between various financial systems during monthly close
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Working with developers, architects, and project managers to design and deliver Oracle Cloud solutions across all regions (ASIA, EMEA, America)
- Driving and overseeing transformation initiatives: Identifying areas for improvement, developing strategic plans, and implementing changes for finance.
- Be the SME on how core Finance operates and integrate with other enterprise apps.
- Collaborate closely with the General Accounting organization to understand their needs and translate them into detailed product requirements and user stories.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that development efforts are focused on delivering maximum value to the business.
- Represent the customer's voice and creates a product vision together with the stakeholders.
- Help overall organization to continually mature operating model and improve processes.
- Providing guidance and recommendations: On best practices for financial processes and Oracle Accounting Hub Cloud Service configuration.
- Must have strong business acumen with knowledge of MSPs and Corporate/BIS systems.
- Understand the product backlog by priority, risk, value, learning opportunities and dependencies.
- Streamline application support and process for the company and manage SLAs.
- Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades.
- Work with our institutional management team to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities.
- Work with third-party integrations tools (Mulesoft) and DellBoomi
- A minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience including experience working in industry
- 10+ years of experience as a IT leader with techno-functional hands-on experience with back-office IT SaaS platforms like Oracle ERP
- 7+ years of product ownership or equivalent management experience
- Public accounting / audit experience with a CPA certificate is preferred
- Prior experience in managing the end-to-end business process and workflow related to various aspects of the financial statement close process, which includes procure to pay, order to cash, fixed assets and consolidation functions, with experience in end-to-end process improvements
- Strong listening, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to bridge functional and technical resources by communicating effectively with individuals of varying systems expertise and business needs.
- Strong financial systems expertise. Familiarity Oracle Fusion is a requirement
- Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding and application of GAAP and SEC/financial reporting requirements including financial statements and financial statement footnotes
- Self-motivated and self-directed, must have demonstrated ability to work well with people.
- Proactive and independent person who identifies issues and drives them to resolution
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
- Self-starter persona, dependable and the ability to respond quickly and accurately on multiple priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience within the MSP (Managed Service Provider) industry an asset
- Proven ability to improve governance, standards, security posture
- Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption.
- Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of high complexity.
- Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to provide updates on product progress, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion.
- A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements.
- Knowledge of Salesforce a plus
- A bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, computer science or related degree relevant technical field preferred, otherwise relevant field experience required
