Product Manager Cybersecurity
As a Product Manager in the SITA Communications and Data Exchange team, you will join our dynamic Value Added Services Product Team in managing cybersecurity, application performance, and cloud products to achieve their strategic financial and customer satisfaction objectives. The Value-Added Services team is responsible for various products comprising but not limited to, unified communication and contact center services, wireless and mobility, security, and LAN services. This role will shape the strategy to achieve revenue and profit growth of the assigned products in line with the SITA strategic plans and manage the product line's performance throughout its product life cycle.
As the air transport industry moves to digital and cloud-based systems, you will play a vital role in supporting the product management of SITAs Value Added Services Portfolio. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, ordering, billing, pricing, legal, regulatory, IT, sales, and operations, to ensure our products' successful delivery and continuous improvement.
What you will do
Product Strategy
- Analyze and understand market trends and customer needs
- Articulate and document the product vision strategy for the Communications and Data Exchange business unit and define the target market in line with market trends, customer needs and SITA strategy
- Select the partners and vendors to collaborate with
Sales/Channel Strategy and Support
- Establish and implement an effective channel 'go to market' strategy for the products to include an agreed and executed sales and marketing plan
- Support bid management processes and pre-sales customer interactions
- Support Sales forces with a clear product value proposition and training
Product Innovation/Definition
- Through an understanding of customer needs the competitive landscape and market trends propose product innovations as well as requirements for enhancements to existing products/services
- Define product functional requirements
- Guide product development project throughout the build/launch process to ensure delivery of the right product to market within the agreed timescales
- Participate in cross-functional teams that ensure the timely/cost-effective and quality delivery of product developments and product performance
- Contribute to the management of partnerships and supplier relationships
- Monitor and manage the cost structure related to the product
Product Roadmap/ Life Cycle Management / Performance
- Develop and manage the product roadmap throughout the lifecycle from conception to retirement, covering the quote to bill chain on ordering, installation, field services, management, monitoring, support, and billing
- Track the product(s) P&L revenue new business and profitability including competitive pricing of the product(s) in the marketplace to achieve desired sales volumes/optimized profit
- Propose product investments
Product Marketing/Value Proposition/Market Intelligence
- Define and develop the product value proposition
- Responsible for all product marketing activities during the product's lifetime, including implementing the product launch plan, promotional and collateral support plan, and sales support/infrastructure plan to drive the successful acquisition and retention of customers.
- Organize run and work with user groups and other customer forums to develop customer relationships and influence market thinking
Product Pricing Strategy and P&L
- Define a pricing strategy for the product(s)
- Ensure that key players understand the pricing strategy and apply it
- Ensure the product is profitable by controlling the cost and the allocation of revenue
Product Management Practice
- Ensure communication of the project plans progress tracking' to all relevant parties.
- Comply with Product Management procedures and best practice
- Act as coordinator for those working on the product development stage gate and product projects.
Qualifications:
Experience
- 7+ years of proven success in product management
- Knowledge of aviation and travel industries and economic drivers is a plus
- Innovation Skills and a track record in defining market requirements and functional specifications
- Good knowledge of Product Management methodologies like Agile or Scrum
- Drive for results and action-oriented
- Ability to translate solutions understanding into a compelling story for customers
- A track record of delivering results in Product Management in a global business environment and within a technology solutions-based business.
- Track record of achieving Product revenue growth and managing product P&Ls
- Capability of leading and influencing virtual teams focused on delivery and support within an international environment.
Knowledge and skills
- Technologies: Security Service Edge SSE, Secure Access Service Edge SASE, Firewall, VPN, network access control NAC, Zero trust, network segmentation, consultancy, vulnerability assessment, compliance with local and industry regulations (pen testing, ISO27001, SOC 2 type II, PCI, GDPR ), DDoS protection, XDR, public cloud, application performance
- Vendor knowledge: Cisco, Palo Alto, Zscaler, Fortinet, Versa, Crowdstrike, Aruba, Akamai Assavie, AWS and Azure public cloud, Riverbed, Orange Cyber Defense, Arbor
Education and qualifications
Bachelor's Degree level or equivalent in a technical business, engineering or marketing discipline essential
Master degree a plus
MBA / EMBA is a plus
