This is an OTR Driver position M-F. This is not a local delivery role. Home on Weekends! Established in the Blue Ridge foothills of North Carolina in 1963, Leonard Buildings and Truck Accessories is a manufacturer and distributor whose product lines include storage buildings, cargo and utility trailers, truck covers, truck and van accessories, carports, playhouses, chicken coops, and dog houses. We serve our residential, commercial, fleet, and government customers through our 150+ retail store locations in eighteen states, supported by our corporate offices (in Mount Airy, NC, and Cobden, IL), distribution centers, and strategically located manufacturing facilities. Job Summary: The Lot Driver is based at the Leonard Bastrop, TX with operations in the U.S. and has overall responsibility for the safe and timely delivery of sheds and truck accessories from our retail lot to customers' locations. This position reports directly to the Delivery Manager and does not have direct reports. Job Responsibilities: . Must be comfortable working overnights- weekends off! This is not a local delivery role. •Transporting Portable Buildings driving a pick-up truck. •Obtain a schedule from the Route Manager •Locate and inspect the building for defects before loading •Repair any defects found before transporting, get serial number rub •Do a final safety walk-around prior to departure •Transport & drop building as scheduled, line, level, and report to dealer. •Delivery of customer buildings •Contact customer before delivery for confirmation to bring storage building •Releases signed before entering customer property upon arrival •Walk and Check delivery route with the customer, locating any obstacles •Navigate route with the building and place in the requested area •Level building, touch up paint, all doors/windows working •Take pictures of the delivered building, all 4 sides, leveling & roof lines •Final walk-through inspection with customer for accepted delivery •Contract or Cash Sale receipt signed, collect any COD amounts •Load all tools and supplies, secure tarps, exit property •Pick Up of customer building. •Drive to customer property and locate building •Determine access and position the vehicle for retrieval •Contact the customer for removal or payment •Collect payment per pick-up paperwork and policy •Collect building as per request or policy •Contact collections as needed for additional payment securement •Return building to the sales lot, line, level and report to dealer. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to complete assigned tasks. Positive attitude with a can-do mentality. Self-starter with the ability to work well independently and part of the team. Education/Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record which meets the Company and FMCSA/DOT safety standards. Must have CDL A License Minimum of 2 years of experience in a delivery role, preferably in the retail industry.
