About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at DPHS. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our dental clinic. Your primary responsibility will be to assist our dentists in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certificate or diploma in Dental Assisting
- Knowledge of dental terminology, sterilization, and infection control
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to patient care
- Proficiency in dental software, eCW preferred
- X-Ray Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness
- Experience with trimming and pouring models
- Experience with dental photography
- Experience with scanning (crowns/dentures/partials)
- Demonstrated language proficiency in English/Spanish
Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists in providing high-quality dental care to patients
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and treatments
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
Skills:
As a Dental Assistant, you will use your knowledge of dental terminology, sterilization, and infection control to assist our dentists in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. You will also use your proficiency in dental software to maintain accurate patient records and assist with administrative tasks. Your compassionate and patient-centered approach to care will help to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for our patients.
