The Janitor will help with cleaning and maintenance of the Corps building and facility.
About the role:
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms daily (toilets, sinks, and urinals).
- Clean and sanitize drinking fountains (bubblers).
- Mop floors-bathrooms, hallways, and kitchen/eating areas.
- Clean classrooms/carpeted areas.
- Take out trash and help with recycling.
- Clean the chapel.
- Clean and keep the gym orderly.
- Complete outdoor work as necessary. Work include, but is not limited to: pull weeds, shovel snow, salt the pavements and parking lots, trim the bushes, pick up litter, mow the lawn, and rake the leaves.
- Complete the Emergency Lights Report every month.
- Driving when needed to pick up supplies.
- Keep inventory of all supplies and equipment.
- Communicating with the Business Administrator when supplies are low and need to be reorder.
- Maintenance of machines and equipment (snow blower, leaf blower, ice machine, etc.)
- Turn in van mileage sheets to Business Administrator at the end of every month.
- During kettle season additional responsibilities will be included. Duties may include but are not limited to driving and picking up people, assisting the Business Administrator with phone calls and volunteers, supervision of bell ringers, fixing kettle materials (kettle stands, signs, bells, aprons, etc.), greeting store managers and volunteers, washing aprons, and any and other tasks that may be assigned in order to meet the kettle budget.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Must have a valid Wisconsin driver license.
