Essential Job Functions:
- Clean lunchroom and areas of the floor, sinks and counters.
- Dust mops hard surfaces; vacuums carpeted areas.
- Cleans and disinfects all public restrooms.
- Empties inside trash containers.
- Responds to any requests from Supervisor for immediate clean-up.
- Reports any broken or damaged equipment to Supervisor within 24 hrs.
- Qualified applicants with a disability will be given preference.Reasonable accommodations may be made to those who are able to perform the essential duties of the job.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- 2 yrs. experience in janitorial duties.
- 1 yr. experience in floor care.
- Must have the ability to read and write.
- Must have the ability to measure amounts, read and understand directions printed in English.
- Must be physically mobile in different settings and layouts.
- Must have basic knowledge of maintenance and custodial work.
- Must be knowledgeable of what cleaning ingredients can be mixed together safely.
- Must be able to perform all janitorial tasks on a daily basis.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to follow instructions, including safety procedures and correct safety issues, if possible.
- Must attend all mandatory training sessions as assigned.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be able to obtain a Federal Security clearance.
