Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, sanitizing bathrooms, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of needed repairs.
Specific Responsibilities:
Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
Gather and empty trash.
Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. .
Mix water and chemicals in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
Steam-clean or shampoo and extract carpets.
Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
Drive or operate powered equipment including ride on scrubbers or industrial ride on vacuum cleaners.
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Qualifications:
Must be able perform repetitive motion for extensive amount of time
Must be able to walk long distances
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to work independently or with a partner
Capable of lifting, bending, stooping, pushing & pulling heavy loads
Must be able to lift and/or carry thirty (30) to fifty (50) pounds
