Agile Scrum Master BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated "Agile Scrum Master" for an opportunity in US - Charlotte, NC 28255 Position Title: Agile Scrum Master Location: Charlotte, NC 28255 Job Posting Expected Start Date: 01/27/2025 (Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date. Expected Duration: 12 Months with possibility of extension Job Type: 40 hours work week Pay Rate: $70.00/hr - $73.00/hr on W2 Job Description * Serving and supporting the Product Owner and Development Team in their quest to do everything possible to predictably deliver high quality value to customers * Experience with User Story review, splitting, and sizing. Knows what a 'good' story is. * Providing support to the team using a servant leadership style and leading by example. This person should personify Scrum and Agile. * Guiding and Coaching the Scrum Team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values while also meeting delivery commitment. * Guiding and Coaching both the Scrum Team and the Development team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks * Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization * Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment. * Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving. * Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work. * Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution * Supporting the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining and managing the product backlog. • Knowledge of scaled agile frameworks such as the Scaled Agile Framework for the Enterprise (SAFe) • A good working knowledge of using an Agile tool such as JIRA. • Track record of continued and recent education, as a presenter and learner, in Agile and Scrum, including training, conferences, user groups, self-study, etc. • Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile space such as XP Kanban • Takes on Senior Scrum Master Responsibilities to drive Train ceremonies, host PI Planning preparation and execution, supports the creation of a Program Backlog • Good proficiency with Microsoft Power Point, Visio, Excel and Word. • Domain knowledge in Investment Banking/ Regulatory Reporting. • Critical thinking and Problem solving skills.
