Vast is looking for a Master Scheduler, reporting to the Senior Director of Integration, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations.

This will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Long Beach location.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the master scheduler for Haven-1 Integration
  • Coordinate, maintain, communicate, and present critical path schedules and narratives to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with VAST Engineering managers, supervisors and leads to ensure that program schedules reflect reality and that projects and key deliverables will be completed on time.
  • Facilitate and drive weekly schedule reviews with responsible engineers, ensuring up to date and accurate plans.
  • Devise, maintain, and improve scheduling tools and processes that identify, analyze, and brief potential constraints on a monthly, weekly and daily basis.
  • Learn our engineering, production, and operations with sufficient depth such that you are able to critically evaluate them and offer process improvements.
  • Maintain and perform schedule risk analysis to identify program criticality and uncertainty.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or business discipline or 5+ years of work experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
  • 3+ years of experience with project planning and integrated master scheduling.
  • Experience working on a cross-functional team.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Highly skilled at taking in large quantities of information and presenting it in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work and communicate well with others in a team environment.
  • Able to be diplomatically persuasive or assertive when necessary.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication skills including public speaking.
  • Experience with medium to large sized project (4000-8000+ lines).
  • Experience with summary schedule reporting tools such as Microsoft Timeline or equivalent.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and/or Smartsheet.
  • Coursework or training in Critical Path Analysis methodology.
  • Experience performing schedule risk analysis techniques.
  • Experience analyzing schedules using Industry Standard Health Metrics.
Additional Requirements:
  • Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestones
Pay Range:
  • Master Scheduler: $125,000-$150,000


Salary Range: California

$125,000-$150,000 USD
