Overview:

We are looking for a Master Electrician for our Rockford, MN facility! This position applies electronic theory, principles of electrical circuits, electrical and mechanical testing procedures, engineering mathematics and related layout, build, test, troubleshoot and repair skills to maximize the run time of production equipment in the manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:
Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Performs all work in a safe manner.
2. Conducts all electrical work in accordance with Kingspans LOTO program and actively contributes to
its development.
3. Detects hazards, problems, and the need for service, repair and/or replacement of electrical,
electronic and mechanical components to maximize run time of production equipment.
4. Carry out a variety of electrical work similar but not restricted to the following as the installing,
altering, repairing, planning, or laying out of electrical wiring, apparatus, or equipment for electrical
light, heat, power, technology circuits or systems, or other purposes.
5. Discusses improvement ideas with the Engineering team.
6. Able to diagnose and service drives and program drives (both AC and DC).
7. Able to diagnose PLC input and output integrity.
8. Uses electrical and mechanical tools to perform all associated work as needed.
9. Uses manufacturing experience to improve electrical systems plant wide.
10. Understands and has ability to repair motor control, solid state and heating circuits.
11. Performs mechanical and electrical project work as needed.
12. Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains fire systems, lighting, utilities, HVAC, and related equipment as needed.
13. Operates forklifts and other powered industrial equipment safely.
14. Accepts direction from shift Team Leaders for immediate production needs.
15. Place conduit, pipes, or tubing, inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
16. Maintain current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
17. Direct or train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
18. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
19. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
20. Perform business management duties, such as maintaining records or files, preparing reports, or
ordering supplies or equipment.

Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the
Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations and market demands.
Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of Compliance
Management System.
Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor,
manager, any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower
service.

Must be able to:
Demonstrate troubleshooting and problem solving ability.
Work in a team based environment.
Assists shift maintenance as needed in both electrical and mechanical roles.
Work shift schedule, including overtime; fill in as shift maintenance, and may be assigned to other
shifts as needed. Shift schedule may include late nights and weekends, both in plant and telephone
support.
Follow directions and get along well with others.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions, and procedure
manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to communicate orally and
written in English.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures by using basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and
divide).
Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in
written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in
standardized situations.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

Licensed by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) or registered with DLI as a registered unlicensed electrician.
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Must have at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance with significant electrical experience; industrial electronics education/certification preferred.

Must have:
Experience with business computer applications (Microsoft Office). SAP or PEMAC similar software
experience preferred.
Knowledge of production and safety policies and procedures, including lock-out/tag-out.
Strong background using electrical diagnostic equipment, power tools, shop equipment, forklifts,
aerial lifts and hand tools.
Strong communication skills with production and senior management.
