Position Information Classification Title IT Systems Support Professional FLSA Exempt FTE 1.00 Minimum Qualifications Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Preferred Qualifications Position Summary The employee oversees the evaluation of user requests for access to the campus' student information systems, including monitoring and processing user access requests by serving as the point of contact for CASIS, the online campus user access request system. The employee tracks and completes data requests from third parties and maintains office listservs. The employee serves as the point of contact for security and IT risk management for the student information systems, which involves completing numerous duties and tasks on a regular basis. The employee provides daily troubleshooting for user access as well as participates in technology projects for the office and represents the office at various IT meetings. The employee works independently with a great deal of autonomy. Given the scope and details of the position, the employee will exercise expert judgement with a high-level of integrity. Duties/Responsibilities Duties/Responsibilities Oversee User Access Evaluation for Campus Users

  • Serve as the primary evaluator for user access requests for the campus' student information systems.
  • Monitor and process user access requests.
  • Serve as point of contact for campus user support for CASIS, the online user access request system.
  • Liaise with users completing online modules to gain user access.
  • Uphold EITS and USG protocols.
  • Liaise with business analysts in office; respond to access requests to Secure Reports as part of deployed solutions.
  • Recommend user group/role changes and execute approved plans and modifications.
  • Perform testing of Banner security for application and database upgrades.
Percentage of time 40 Duties/Responsibilities Track and Complete Data Requests and Perform Listserv Maintenance

  • Liaise with other offices, such as OIR and EITS, for questions related to student information data.
  • Facilitate and track third-party data requests.
  • Follow UGA and office report request protocols.
  • Assist staff with running reports and provide data to leadership.
  • Maintain office listservs and ensure campus-wide emails are sent to correct populations.
Percentage of time 25 Duties/Responsibilities Office Technology Projects and User Support

  • Provide daily troubleshooting for systems that relate to student data, user access, and reporting.
  • Participate in various technology projects in the office as they arise.
  • Represent Office of the Registrar at monthly IT group meetings.
  • Monitor and respond to emails sent to RegTech departmental email account.
  • Reconcile weekly SIS reports related to student data.
  • Process student cohort requests that are submitted by departments.
Percentage of time 25 Duties/Responsibilities Student Systems Security and Risk Management

  • Serve as office point of contact for security and IT risk management for student information systems.
  • Maintain a security handbook on evaluating and processing user access requests.
  • Proactively comply with BOR User Account Standards Policy by assessing requests and completing staff separations in a timely manner.
  • Complete annual inventory of sensitive and critical systems with designated IT Manager.
  • Lead and coordinate annual FERPA certification process.
  • Conduct periodic audits on sensitive data and user access.
