We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our team. The Business Analyst will play a key role in developing and maintaining various dashboards using Power BI, and other data modeling/visualization tools by pulling data from various financial & operational systems to provide valuable insights to the business stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with COO and leaders of asset management to create a reporting for each business unit.
  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data-related requirements, including data visualization needs, reporting requirements, and data modeling preferences.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions. Use statistical analysis techniques to extract actionable insights from the data.
  • Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models that accurately represent the organization's data assets, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Ensure that data models align with business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Data Visualization: Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView. Create visually appealing and easy-to-understand visualizations that effectively communicate key insights to stakeholders.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data used for visualization and modeling purposes. Identify and address data quality issues through data cleansing, validation, and verification processes.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize data visualization and modeling processes to improve performance and efficiency. Identify opportunities to streamline data workflows, optimize queries, and enhance the performance of dashboards and reports.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with stakeholders from various departments, including business users, data engineers, data scientists, and IT professionals. Engage stakeholders throughout the data modeling and visualization process to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Documentation and Communication: Document data models, visualization designs, and analytical findings to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing within the organization. Communicate complex technical concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively use data visualization tools and dashboards. Offer guidance and assistance to help stakeholders interpret and analyze data effectively.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in data modeling and visualization. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, enhance methodologies, and drive innovation in data analysis and visualization practices.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as needed by various stakeholders.

TRAVEL
  • Although this position will have limited travel, it will initially require some travel to meet with operators.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Experience: Minimum of 2 years direct experience using Power BI to create data visualization reporting

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics or related field, or relevant experience is required.

Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
