Additionally, as Lead Technician you will assist in the further development and implementation of evening/weekend workflow documents. You will report to the Lead Operations Pharmacist and Lead Clinical Pharmacist. This is an opportunity to assist in the seamless transitions from day to day and weekend to week day operations ensuring the uninterrupted flow of orders through the pharmacy.This role is based on-site at our New Albany facility. Both shifts available come with shift differential on top of base hourly rate:Sun-Wed / 9:00pm - 7:30am Wed-Sat / 9:00pm - 7:30am You Will:Create a daily workflow plan for the technician team ensuring that daily, weekly and monthly tasks are being completed.Develop a daily, weekly and monthly pharmacy technician task sheet and a downtime task sheet.Assist in the preparation of a Pharmacy Technician schedule in coordination with the Lead Workflow Technician, and Lead Clinical Pharmacist (RPh schedule).Delegate tasks, workflow items, and station assignments (including shipping) to the Pharmacy Technician team members.Lead team effort by accomplishing related results.Train additional pharmacy technicians on the role and responsibilities that are unique to alternative shift technicians. Practice all state and federal pharmacy regulations for the ordering, handling, and management of prescriptions and/or prescription drug products.Maintain all security and privacy rules regarding the use and handling of protected health information (PHI) in compliance with federal and state HIPAA regulations.Update and maintain patient profile records as necessary according to state pharmacy regulations Review biweekly pharmacy huddle updates for new information. Drive quality efforts by adhering to standard operating procedures.Follow all state and pharmacy regulations and rules as designated by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment as mandated by the FDA's rules and regulations.Support pharmacy and pharmacist services by stocking, labeling, assembling, and filling medications or other tasks as permitted by the state board of pharmacy.Maintain a safe pharmacy environment by complying with standard operating procedures, rules, and regulations.Clean and help maintain pharmacy areas, pharmacy equipment and work areas as directed by standard operating procedures. Transition medications through various states of workflow Protect patients and employees by adhering to strict infection-control policies and protocols.Organize medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities, and assembling patient orders.Perform other tasks as assignedYou Have:18+ years of age, high school diploma, GED or equivalentActive registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio AND National Certification (CPhT)Effective knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws, rules and regulations related to the practice of pharmacyAbility to work flexible shift timesAttention to detailWillingness to work in a team environment and promote company cultureProficiency in English, verbal and writtenProficiency in Windows based computer systemsOur Benefits (there are more but here are some highlights):Competitive salary & comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental & visionConditions of Employment: This position will require working with Hazardous Drugs (HD) and would require that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) be worn for the length of working with these drugs. These items would include gloves, respiratory protection, gown and other items as required.This position requires medical approval to wear respiratory protection in the form of negative or positive pressure respirators, including N95, full face respirator, SCBA, or Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR).Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking up to 50% of the time, standing up to 100% of the time, squatting and bending up to 20% of the time and lifting up to 80% of the time for up to a twelve hour shift. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.Due to the risk of reproductive capability in handling or compounding certain Hazardous Drugs (HD) associates must be willing to confirm that they understand the potential risks (teratogenicity, carcinogenicity and reproductive effects) of handling hazardous drugs.Outlined below is a reasonable estimate of H&H's compensation range for this role for US-based candidates.
