People Science is hiring: Manufacturing Technician in Hayward

Our client is a leading innovator in engineering and manufacturing specialized equipment for the food industry and other complex sectors. Based in Hayward, CA, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional quality and results on every project. We are currently seeking a skilled Welder to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing top-notch products to our customers.

What You’ll Do:

• Review Engineering Drawings: Analyze engineering drawings to assess manufacturability and identify potential challenges.
• Flat Pattern Drawings: Create, release, and revise flat pattern drawings to support production processes.
• CNC Programming: Program various CNC manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to fiber lasers, waterjets, lathes, and mills.
• Documentation: Create and update documentation of procedures and references for current manufacturing practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• 3D Modeling: Support production by developing 3D models of fixtures as needed to facilitate manufacturing processes.
• Cross-Department Communication: Foster effective communication between production and design engineering teams to ensure alignment on project requirements and timelines.

What We’re Looking For:

• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in manufacturing equipment and CAD/CAM software.
• Machinery Experience: Familiarity with manufacturing machinery such as lasers, water jets, plasma cutters, milling machines, lathes, drill presses, and press brakes.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with CAD/CAM software including Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Sigma Nest, Tru-Tops Inch, Boost, SPI Sheet Metal, and Mastercam.
• Spatial Visualization: Strong ability to visualize space geometry and perform 3D to flat conversions.
• Hands-On Experience: Practical experience working with sheet metal and machinery, including welding machines, milling and lathe machines, lasers, water jets, punches, measuring tools, and robotics.
