We are the global leader in packaging and product integrity testing equipment and our team covers industries including Food & Beverage, Flexible Packaging, Paints & Coatings, and various Industrial end markets.We currently have an opening for an Electromechanical Assembly Technician for Industrial Physics in our New Albany Indiana location.JOB SUMMARY:Our New Albany, Indiana manufacturing team is seeking MULTIPLE Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technicians to assemble & test a range of test and measurement instrumentation in accordance with established standards and processes.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:•Produce product assemblies according to established processes, drawings, and specifications.•Ensure product quality standards are achieved by adhering to all written procedures and work instructions.•Ensure quality standards are adhered to throughout the manufacturing process.•Ensure that any defects incurred during the process are identified and segregated.•Ability to Cross train on multiple products with the ability to flex where needed.•Work with team members to collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives relating to production.•Ensure that all machines and tools used are maintained in accordance with company protocols•Perform additional duties beyond the scope of work upon request.Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:•Must be organized and maintain a clean, safe work area.•Show knowledge of standard manufacturing practices in mechanical and electrical assembly.•Demonstrated knowledge of equipment used within a manufacturing environment, such as hand tools, machine tools,soldering tools, measuring tools - mechanical and electrical.•Be a team player, ready and willing to assist others.•Participate in LEAN activities to improve efficiency and standard work practices.•Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.•Participate in problem-solving and improvement teams.•Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.•Must be able to lift 50 lbs. at a time.•Must be flexible and available for overtime where necessary.TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:•High School or High School equivalent diploma required.•A minimum of 3-years prior manufacturing work experience•Degree in a mechanical or electrical field of study preferred.Industrial Physics provides Equal Employment Opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, ancestry, national origin, citizenship, sex, or gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, and pregnancy-related conditions), gender identity or expression (including transgender status), sexual orientation, marital status, religion, age, disability, genetic information, service in the military, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws and ordinances.
