This role involves designing and planning layouts for machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welding, brazing, assembly, and materials handling. You will be responsible for creating efficient workflows and ensuring that manufacturing operations are executed seamlessly, ultimately contributing to the quality and performance of aerospace products.Key Responsibilities:Process Planning: Develop and optimize sequences for fabrication, assembly, and installation of aerospace components, providing clear guidance for production workers.Facility Layout: Assist in the strategic arrangement of machinery and equipment within the plant to maximize productivity and efficiency.Operational Efficiency: Specify procedures for tool fabrication and equipment use, ensuring that all operations are performed effectively and in alignment with product performance standards.Technical Interpretation: Analyze and interpret engineering drawings and models to establish efficient manufacturing processes tailored to specific factory areas.Quality Assurance: Inspect and evaluate machinery, tools, and equipment performance, initiating corrective actions to resolve deficiencies and maintain high product quality.Tool Design and Maintenance: Develop concepts for new tooling, improve existing tools, and oversee their maintenance to ensure operational readiness.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and engage with suppliers and customers to support program development and execution.Documentation and Compliance: Create comprehensive work instructions, Tool Usage Instructions, and Manufacturing Bills of Materials (MBOMs).
