M-D Building Products is hiring: Lean Manufacturing Specialist in Oklahoma City

M-D is seeking a Lean Manufacturing Specialist to join our dynamic Operations and Continuous Improvement team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the implementation and promotion of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, minimizing waste, and elevating product quality. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to spearhead continuous improvement initiatives, streamline processes, and foster a culture of operational excellence throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute Lean strategies and initiatives to streamline manufacturing processes and optimize resource utilization
• Conduct training sessions on Lean tools and techniques (e.g. 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) for employees at all levels.
• Assess current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity
• Utilize data analytics to measure performance metrics, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for decision-making
• Work closely with engineering, quality, and operations teams to facilitate continuous improvement projects and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Lead and participate in improvement projects from conception through implementation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging employee engagement and ownership of Lean practices

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in Lean Manufacturing or process improvement role
• Proficient in Lean tools and software (e.g. Value Stream Mapping)
• Proficiency in Lean software tools (e.g. Visio, Minitab or Other data processing and statistical software)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
• Ability to meet physical demands and work in a manufacturing environment.
