As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, you'll be part of our Stanley Engineered Fastening team working as an on-site regionally based employee. This position will evaluate, develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes within our North American Engineered Fastening manufacturing facilities developing new processes coming into the plants supporting new products launching as well as optimizing safety, quality, cost, and productivity within existing manufacturing processes.You'll get to:Be a key member of a transformation team within the Industrial business unit to ensure the most efficient manufacturing process are in place with an error free process with built in quality and safety.Design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes, including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordinationPre-specification of processes and cost estimates to support product developmentAbility to review/assess operational data to identify improvement opportunities.Drive operational improvement through the implementation of new and revised processes that are supported with a lean approach.Facilitate the implementation of production equipment/tooling into the manufacturing facility and any corresponding technical training.Providing key stakeholders with both written and verbal updates on the progress of their projects and the escalation of any risks and issues while being a change agent.Support codification of any newly developed approaches, methodologies, and resultsDevelop and prepare formal cost justifications for purchase of capital expenditures on equipment and technologyAlign with, support, and enhance the Lean-led journey of each individual plant promoting a lean culture and scientific thinking processes.Collaborate with multiple functions including IT and Operations on project requirements and deliverables to meet launch deadlinesProject management and deployment of production automation, equipment and systems focused on the 4 M's - METHOD, MACHINE, MATERIAL, MAKERDevelop and prepare formal cost justifications for purchase of capital expenditures on equipment and technologyCreate and maintain project plans and budgets on all projects with regular cadence of accountability.Develop process flow and plant layout requirements.Complete all required documentation for launching new process- PFMEA, Process Flow, FAT, SAT, etc.Remain up to date on new available technologies and pilot new technologies in key sites.The Person: You love to learn and grow and be acknowledged for your valuable contributions. You also have: Bachelor of Science in Engineering Discipline, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering Preferred5+ years of experience to include manufacturing work experience within manufacturing operationsAutomotive and/or Aerospace experience preferredDiverse experience with various manufacturing processes such as Cold Forming, Stamping, Molding, Assembly, Welding, Packaging, Inspection, Distribution, Sorting, andFamiliar with AutoCAD / Solidworks with the ability to optimize layouts for plant / manufacturing cells.Familiar with PLC's, robotics, and advanced automationExperience working with multiple functions and disciplines in a matrix organization to build consensus and drive decision making. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
