PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

Support manufacturing by safely moving glass through the tempering process.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:

• Accurately read and measure glass specifications.
• Safely move glass through the tempering facility.
• Load and unload glass from washers, polishers, ovens, and roller tables.
• Operate multiple machines through tempering process.
• Follow the order paperwork to ensure accurate production.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Proven experience with equipment repair and maintenance.
• Analytical skills with a mechanical aptitude.
• Attention to detail and organized approach to work with the ability to re-prioritize quickly as production demands warrant.
• Ability to work flexible hours when needed due to maintenance needs.
• Must have the ability to perform physical work and may be required to lift up to 75 lbs. Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, reaching, standing, pushing, and lifting for up to 3-4 hours without sitting.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Works primarily indoors with exposure to seasonal weather extremes. Exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, and materials.
