Here, you'll be supported in progressing - whatever your ambitions.1st ShiftAbout the role: With general supervisory direction, you will be responsible for performing support functions for manufacturing operations, including troubleshooting equipment and process issues, and performing and documenting machine maintenance procedures. Additionally, it is expected that you will partner with engineering in developing methods and procedures to control or modify manufacturing processes and be a leader in improving equipment maintenance practices.Your responsibilities will include: Perform preventative maintenance and calibration procedures, as well as author equipment maintenance and calibration procedures. Maintain, assess requirements, and order equipment spare parts. Identify and troubleshoot process, material or equipment problems to minimize down time and improve yields. Maintenance activities for automated PC and PLC controlled manufacturing equipment. Identify, design, and implement process equipment, tooling, and fixture changes to improve reliability of the process. Revise existing documents, processes, and/or methods to correct or improve processes/product. Work with vendors/suppliers to procure and install tooling, fixtures, and/or equipment. Assist in writing validation plans, executing plans and completing validation reports with engineering team. Assist in Value Improvement Projects (VIP) and other projects, implementing new equipment or processes or improving existing ones for cost savings. Collect data and perform statistical analysis for process characterization and scrap reduction goals. Work with Process Development to bring new products into production. Work with departmental customers to improve material quality and delivery. Train and provide technical support or direction to product builders and other technicians. Required qualifications: AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 8-10 years of related experience. Strong electrical and mechanical skills. Experience in PLC ladder logic troubleshooting. Experience in maintaining large production equipment. Strong problem-solving skills. Self-motivated to seek out opportunities to improve business performance. Communicates well with peers about issues/problems that arise.
