This role is integral to the smooth running of our warehouse operations and will require a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all logistics activities, ensuring efficient and timely production, and distribution of our food products. This position requires a deep understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Food (SQF), SAP software, and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP). The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry. Responsibilities: Oversee all logistics operations, including inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and supply chain processes. Ensure compliance with GMP, SQF, and HACCP regulations in all logistics operations. Utilize SAP software to optimize logistics processes and improve efficiency. Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping. Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers. Direct distribution center operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives. Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues. Supervise the work of logistics specialists, planners, or schedulers. Prepare or file environmental certification applications. Negotiate with suppliers or customers to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainability. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Logistics Supervisor or similar role within the food manufacturing industry. Proven experience of working with GMP, SQF, SAP, and HACCP. Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. Strong knowledge of logistics and inventory management software. Excellent leadership and organizational skills. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. Reliable and self-motivated with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
