The Role:

Our site in San Luis Obispo, CA. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our team. The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for performing tasks related to building Ultra High Purity Systems and subassemblies in a class 100 cleanroom work environment. This will include, but not limited to: mechanical and electrical assembly based on engineering drawings and/or work instructions while wearing required cleanroom garments and protective equipment. This position is expected to always operate in a safe manner and comply with all applicable work instructions.

***This is a 2nd shift position, working Monday - Friday from 3-11:30pm pst.

In this role you will:

  • Works from instructions, drawings, schematics, piping and instrumentation drawings, illustrations, and process documentation to assemble a variety of mechanical, electrical subassemblies and systems with supervision.
  • Ability to work in Class 100 (ISO 5) environment wearing the appropriate required garments.
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions.
  • Ability to build sub-assemblies with supervision.
  • Install tube fittings using VCR, and Compression fittings with supervision.
  • Follow engineering and customer requirement specifications to produce quality and accurate products in a timely manner.
  • Performs routine, repetitive assembly operations and processes to produce quality and accurate products in a timely manner.
  • Complete 6S responsibilities (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, safety).
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment and maintain or increase On-Time Shipments.
  • Ability to work safely and recognize the safety of others.
  • Provide accuracy and consistency in work performance.
  • Learn proper measuring techniques, tool use, care, and quality standards.
  • Work with a team as well as independently when needed.

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years' experience mechanical assembly and/or relevant experience.
  • Ability to learn to navigate through operating system to find BOMs, drawings and instructions.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs daily.
  • Ability to climb ladders and be on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Focus on attention to detail to drive plant safety and product quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
  • Ability to learn how handle material responsibly.
  • Dependability and flexibility to work over-time and weekends to support business needs.

  • Hourly pay in the $23-25/hr range + a 10% shift differential for all hours worked on 2nd shift.
