Job Description
The Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law (ASU Law) Washington, D.C. program seeks a dynamic, hardworking, self-starter. The successful candidate will play a key role in day-to-day coordination and operations of events, programming, and student recruitment and support for ASU Law's D.C. location. Administrative Associate will also provide administrative and project support for D.C.- based staff, law faculty and programs.
Handles problems and non-routine situations by determining the approach or action to take and interprets guidelines, procedures, policies and practices. Incumbents may have contact with high-level administrative offices requiring use of business vocabulary, tact, discretion and judgment.
This position is based in the Barrett & O'Connor Washington Center in Washington, D.C. and will report to the Executive Director of Washington, D.C. Programs.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business or in a field pertinent to work unit and one (1) year of directly related administrative experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.

Working Environment
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.
- Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
- Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
- Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.

Essential Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for and have duties in the following areas:
- Assist the Executive Director(s) and affiliated faculty with day-to-day administrative functioning - including but not limited to processing P-Cards, setting up travel in Concur.
- Coordinate events and conferences, including registration, venue, food, logistics, speaker communications, and marketing.
- Assist with development and maintenance of databases.
- Liaise with facilities, IT, security, and building management and other relevant contacts for the Barrett & O'Connor Washington Center.
- Manage calendaring and scheduling for the Executive Director(s) and faculty members, and coordinate with internal and external partners and funders.
- Monitor program expenditures and budget allocations and complete financial documentation, reimbursement, and payment processes.
- Arrange travel reservations and itineraries for staff, faculty, and guests and complete travel requests, documentation, and reimbursement processes.
- Serve as a general resource and point of contact for students before, during, and after their participation in the D.C. law programs. This includes hosting information sessions, responding to prospective and current student inquiries, managing student resources at the D.C. location, and tracking and following up with program alumni.
- Assisting faculty with Canvas, preparing classroom materials, examinations, grade sheets, and posting notices and assignments.
- Physical presence at the workplace is an essential function/recruitment of this position.
- Other duties as assigned that support the goals of the College of Law and ASU.
