Our client, an esteemed Louisiana-based law firm, is seeking a dedicated and reliable Legal Administrative Assistant to support the firms Trust & Estate Practice Group.This role is integral to supporting attorneys with trust and estate planning matters. It presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal assistant to advance their career in a prestigious law firm. This is a direct hire role offering an excellent salary and benefits package.

Salary:$55K-$80K annually, depending on qualifications and experience.

Work Environment:100% onsite

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys.
  • Draft and prepare trust and estate planning documents.
  • Assist attorneys with transactions and legal documents related to trust and estate planning.
  • Conduct legal research to support case preparation.
  • Organize and maintain client files (both electronic and physical), ensuring accessibility and accuracy.
  • Manage attorney timekeeping, billing, and expense reports, ensuring compliance with firm policies.
  • Coordinate communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other professionals.
  • Perform additional legal and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all work completed.




Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in trust and estate planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with legal research databases is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with attorneys and team members.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
