Our client, an esteemed Louisiana-based law firm, is seeking a dedicated and reliable Legal Administrative Assistant to support the firms Trust & Estate Practice Group.This role is integral to supporting attorneys with trust and estate planning matters. It presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal assistant to advance their career in a prestigious law firm. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys.
- Draft and prepare trust and estate planning documents.
- Assist attorneys with transactions and legal documents related to trust and estate planning.
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation.
- Organize and maintain client files (both electronic and physical), ensuring accessibility and accuracy.
- Manage attorney timekeeping, billing, and expense reports, ensuring compliance with firm policies.
- Coordinate communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other professionals.
- Perform additional legal and administrative tasks as needed.
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all work completed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in trust and estate planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with legal research databases is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused mindset.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with attorneys and team members.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
