Organizational Overview

 

The King County Regional Homelessness Authority (KCRHA) is a public administrative agency that oversees homelessness-related programs and funding in the Seattle-King County region. Created by an interlocal agreement between the City of Seattle and King County in 2019, KCRHA is responsible for unifying and coordinating the homelessness response system across our large and diverse region. KCRHA works with a wide range of stakeholders, with a focus on continuous improvement across the system, centering lived experience and making the most effective use of public funds. Our mission is to address and bring everyone inside throughout King County using equity and social justice principles.

 

Team Overview

 

The Homeless Investment Team is responsible for systematically and efficiently managing contract creation, execution, monitoring, and analysis to maximize financial and operational performance, minimize risk, and ensure people experiencing homelessness get the best services that can be provided in our region.

The ~$250M portfolio of homeless crisis response contracts includes homeless prevention, diversion, outreach, emergency services, and housing contracts that are funded by King County, the City of Seattle, suburban cities, State, and/or Federal fund sources.

 

Role Description

 

The Administrative Coordinator (Admin Coordinator) will play a vital role in providing comprehensive support to the Homeless Investment Director and Team. This position encompasses project management responsibilities, high-level administrative functions, completion of actions related to program initiatives and provider support.

 

Accountabilities

 

Homeless Investment Program Administrative Support (60%)

  • Collaborate with the Homeless Investment Director to develop a comprehensive monthly work plan for the Admin Coordinator role.
  • Support the Homeless Investment leadership team with meeting coordination with external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive portfolio of provider contacts, ensuring that all information is accurate and current.
  • Attend provider meetings; note taking, minutes.
  • Facilitate the coordination of meetings, events, and team activities as required or upon request.
  • Develop documentation templates that will help ensure consistency and clarity in communication, fostering greater efficiency and collaboration within the team.
  • Assist the homeless investment program by delivering essential administrative support that promotes improvement of the program's operations and effectiveness.


Project Management (40%)


Provide project management oversight on various specialized initiatives for the Homeless Investment Team. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Track and coordinate project tasks and assignments, ensuring timely completion of objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive documents, detailed reports, and project presentations.
  • Engage actively in project meetings and contribute to the effective management of project work plans and calendars to ensure smooth progress and organization.
  • Maintain a comprehensive record of project notes and meeting minutes to ensure clarity and facilitate effective communication.
  • Monitor and track goals and progress for Homeless Investment Team-related programs.
  • Oversee implementation of project-related adjustments as a part of continuous improvement efforts.


Minimum Requirements

 

  • Fluency in equity and racial justice concepts and language, understanding their privilege and power, and can bring equity impact analysis to life in the context of their tasks.
  • Ability to operate in a politically sensitive environment, with nuance and attention to detail.
  • 4-7+ years of related work experience in the government, non-profit or related field
  • 3+ years of experience with a track record of success in Coordinated Entry, Program Performance and related areas.
  • A track record of success in cross-team and/or multi-stakeholder collaboration.
  • Proficiency in using technology and data, including Microsoft Office Suite.


Additional Requirements

 

  • Valid Washington State Driver's License.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, in state and out-of-state.
  • Experience working across government agencies and related structures/governing bodies, a plus.
  • Experience in project management, operations and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience collecting data and/or using data to drive decisions.
  • Exceptional planning, organizing, and prioritizing skills to manage a diverse workload, multiple demands, and deadline sensitive projects.
  • A high level of customer service orientation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to provide and accept feedback.
  • Ability to work in and across several communication platforms, including social networks and cloud- based systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, timeliness.
  • Budget management experience, a plus.
  • Prolonged period sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.


Experience with government and community stakeholders, along with knowledge of the homelessness and housing landscape in King County, a plus.
