Role Summary

Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. The Cashier will be responsible for handling customer transactions, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the overall operations of the dealership.

More about the role

  • Accurately process customer payments for vehicle purchases, services, and parts, including cash, credit card, and check transactions.
  • Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide assistance as needed to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions, ensuring that receipts and invoices are properly documented and filed.
  • Count cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring accuracy and security of funds.
  • Liaise with sales, service, and parts departments to resolve any payment or billing issues.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Stay informed about dealership promotions, services, and products to effectively assist customers.

What we look for

  • Previous cashier or customer service experience is preferred, especially in a retail or automotive environment.
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling transactions and maintaining records.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
