Job Summary/Description:

The Broadcast IT Engineer will provide hardware and software support for all departments on multiple computer and networking platforms using various business and broadcasting software.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Interface with production and engineering to implement technical solutions as designed.
* Perform system-level troubleshooting of technical facilities, including, but not limited to, control rooms, studio equipment, audio equipment, and computer systems.
* Repair equipment at the component level utilizing industry-standard test equipment.
* Occasionally be asked to work in a live truck environment performing repairs.
* Perform preventative maintenance on studio & control room equipment.
* Perform equipment and systems software installation and updates.
* Assist Studio Operations with control room and studio setup and operations.
* Assist Edit and Production staff with industry-specific software (Avid, Adobe Suite, Chyron, Ross Video, EVS, Sony ODA, Telestream DIVA, Telestream Vantage)

Qualifications/Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or 4+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in broadcast engineering and/or remote production engineering experience.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
- A current valid driver's license and a good driving record are required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Proficient in Company-provided hardware and software.
- Proficient in broadcast and production hardware and software.
- Working Knowledge of IT Processes including Network Security, Workflow, and Network Management. Core system knowledge of AVID, DIVA, Evertz, Sony ODA, Signiant,Video Encoding, AWS, and other broadcast and streaming systems.
- Be a Microsoft Windows and Office 365 rock star.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to live up to the physically demanding activities of this "broadcast and engineering" type of position.
