Sky View serves as your bridge between hospital and home, spanning the gap from recovery to community reentry. Our luxurious and hotel-like environment is the ideal setting for those in need of Post Acute Rehabilitation or Long-Term Care. Our team of highly skilled physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapists really care and work together to create an individualized therapy plan that helps you reach your highest level of functioning in as short an amount of time as possible - preparing for your eventual return home.Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA is responsible to organize, and conduct physical therapy programs planned and overseen by the Physical Therapist to facilitate rehabilitation of those residents who have experienced a decrease in functions.Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA will assist in planning, organizing, developing and implementing Physical Therapy services under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, to ensure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA performs treatment programs for assigned residentsPhysical Therapist Assistant, PTA enters billing information in an accurate and timely mannerReport resident progress in meetings, i.e. UR Meeting, Patient/Family Conference as deemed required or appropriateConsult with other members of the rehabilitation team to coordinate physical therapy with other therapeutic activitiesProvide residents with equipment as appropriateChart notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the therapy provided to the residents, as well as the resident's response to the therapyPerform routine documentation as required and in accordance with our established charting and documentation policies and procedures. Sign and date all entries made in residents' medical record.Cooperate with all departments and staff facilitating harmonious working conditions to promote optimal resident care Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assistant, PTALicensed in NY State as a Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA; license in good standingPrevious skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience highly prefferedWork well under pressure & willing to work harmoniously with all staffSincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and handicappedExcellent customer service skillsMust be able to communicate well verbally with residents, families and staffTreat residents and fellow staff with respect, dignity, and compassionCovid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but NOT MANDATED ; we continue to offer COVID-19 vaccination based on eligibility guidance from CDCWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer, celebrate diversity, & are committed to creating an inclusive work environment for all!
