Salary:

SeKON is looking for an Entry-Level Financial Analyst to join our talented and innovative team supporting the Health and Human Services (HHS) specifically Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is the primary federal entity responsible for oversight of the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor budgets and forecasts for various departments and projects.
  • Present financial data and insights to management and stakeholders, providing recommendations for decision-making.
  • Manage payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee invoicing, accounts payable, and receivable to ensure proper financial transactions and recordkeeping.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and address any discrepancies or risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial reporting with business goals.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end financial close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar financial role.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting procedures.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of payroll systems and financial transaction processes is a plus.
