We're committed to giving children back their childhood!Job Posting Title: PRN Sports Pediatric Physical TherapistLocation: Frisco - Ambulatory Surgical CenterAdditional Posting Details: PT needed for FMLA coverage from March to June at our Star location with 40 hours guaranteed per week. Before and after FMLA coverage, this position would cover 20 hours per week at our Frisco Campus.Job Description: Duties/ResponsibilitiesPerforms examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, intervention, and outcome in accordance with standards set by profession's national association, scope of practice and hospital policies and guidelines. Works with leader to identify opportunities to improve performance in these areas across the department.Provides age-appropriate and family-centered care in accordance with current evidence and practice standards, provider's prescription and protocols and regulatory standards. Works with leader to identify opportunities to improve performance in these areas across the department.Completes documentation per departmental and hospital policy and demonstrates an understanding of revenue cycle implications of effective documentation.Utilizes effective verbal and written communication with providers, patients of all ages and their families, hospital staff members, and other professionals. Identifies ways to improve communication with these groups.Supervises therapy aides, students and volunteers in order to maintain patient safety and regulatory standards. Also informally supervises Staff Therapy Technicians to support safe and effective patient care and professional growth.Participates in formal and informal education of new employees, students, volunteers, and members of same and other disciplines.Identifies opportunities to collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to enhance outcomes for patient care through individual patient care coordination as well as education and research activities.Identifies opportunities and participates in professional development activities and shares knowledge with other staff members through formal and informal educational opportunities.Participates in research projects, performance improvement processes, quality initiatives, and/or outcome studies.Seeks opportunities and participates in community activities, programs that benefit patients or programs that encourage wellness for our staff and the community.Required Skills/AbilitiesCurrent licensure to practice in the State of Texas in applicable profession.Successful completion of training in accredited program in applicable profession.Certification in BLS.1 or more years of experience.
