Kaiser Aluminum Warrick is currently in search of an IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) to join our Warrick Operations (Newburgh, IN) team. The BRM will be responsible for establishing, managing, and maintaining strategic relationships with business partners across the site, understanding strategic and tactical business needs, translating those needs into service and support requirements, as well as managing IT projects to support the strategies of all business teams across the complex and diverse site. This position will be located at our Warrick Indiana manufacturing site. As a member of the Kaiser Aluminum Warrick IT Team, the BRM will proactively understand business processes as well as the short-term and long-term direction of site departments, identifying sources of technology advantage and anticipating changing internal and external customer needs. The BRM will function as an internal consultant in developing and improving/automating business processes, identifying opportunities for productivity, and where appropriate translate business opportunities into projects. In addition to BRM responsibilities, this role will also lead key IT projects for the site, working with other members of the IT and OT Teams, as well as members of various business teams. For these projects, the BRM will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project, ensuring the project successfully meets predefined success criteria, including completing them on time and within budget. What you will work on: Identify opportunities to use technology that aligns with business strategy and performance, adapting to changing business needs to continuously create innovative and high-value solutions. Facilitate a continuous planning process, working with business teams to manage and prioritize portfolios for projects, services, and other IT solutions. Analyze potential projects to ensure projects meet functional business objectives, as well as quantify value to the organization and return on investment (ROI). Advocates for technology needs of the site and departments. Communicate technology strategy, plans, and status to the business community, serving as a critical link in the IT work intake process, providing information on plans, opportunities, and needs of the business teams at the site. Manages business partner plans and expectations. Understand business processes and challenges, as well as information/technology capabilities to assess client needs. Works with business units to define and validate system requirements using interviews, requirement workshops, business process descriptions / use cases, business analysis, task and workflow analysis. Prepare functional specifications and system design specifications that can be used to build or implement solutions as required. Measure Service Level Agreements (SLAs), customer satisfaction, and IT effectiveness with the site business teams. Develop and implement recommendations for improvement, working with IT Teams to resolve problems and improve service levels. Act as the liaison between the business units, technology teams, and support teams. Partner with other IT teams to develop implementation and communication plans for new products and services and help to educate business teams about emerging technologies. Promote IT services to the business teams, demonstrating the value of IT services and how they meet business objectives to improve solution adoption. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support company objectives in collaboration with management and stakeholders. Manage IT projects, including developing comprehensive project plans and other project documents, utilizing established project tools and methodologies to manage and coordinate resources (equipment, consultants, etc.) as required, all with minimal guidance. Manage vendor selection process and coordinate vendor efforts throughout projects as required. To be successful in this role and to play a part in our ongoing success we desire the following background: BS in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with emphasis in Information Technology 10 years of recent experience with IT applications, preferably in a manufacturing environment, including managing business relationships Experience working with personnel at all levels in the organization, including leadership personnel, managing projects and application initiatives Previous experience managing large complex projects through multiple project phases (initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling, and closing), and managing both internal and external personnel Experience implementing purchased commercial off the shelf and custom written software solutions Clear ability to understand business needs and leverage technology to meet those needs, including the development of strategic roadmaps Participate in continuous improvement process improvement opportunities with measurable results that are impactful to the organization Preferred qualifications: ITIL experience / PMI certification Manufacturing shop floor system experience Diverse experience across different companies and industries Advanced degree (MBA or MS), or relevant certifications Experience working in an industrial environment, preferably in metal manufacturing, working alongside members of the operations teams to understand issues and improve processes Kaiser Aluminum encourages applications from women, people of diverse backgrounds and those with different skills and life experiences.
