Description Kitchell seeks a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Communications Specialist to join our Corporate Marketing and Communications Team in Phoenix, Arizona and build a long-term career at one of the most innovative and growth-oriented building companies in the United States. The Communications Specialist plays a key role in creating and delivering impactful messaging to support Kitchell's vision and goals. This position involves developing engaging content for internal and external audiences, managing social media platforms, drafting press releases and internal news articles, coordinating events, and ensuring brand alignment across all operating companies. The role requires strong writing, editing, graphic design and storytelling skills, along with the ability to collaborate across teams. The Communications Specialist will work directly with the Vice President of Corporate Communications, Marketing and Branding, as well as stakeholders across Kitchell's four operating companies, to produce clear, engaging materials that reflect the organization's vision and values. Requirements Duties and Responsibilities Craft Engaging Content: Develop compelling content for website, social media, newsletters, emails, articles, award submissions, and marketing campaigns that connect with internal and external audiences. Social Media Management: Oversee social media platforms by scheduling content, tracking engagement, and analyzing performance metrics. Deliver Impactful Messaging: Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, announcements, and corporate news that align with organizational goals. Event Coordination: Assist in organizing and executing company events, from employee initiatives to milestone celebrations and community outreach initiatives. Ensure Brand Excellence : Uphold brand standards across communication materials, ensuring consistency with the company's vision and values. Coordinate Strategic Partnerships: Manage relationships with vendors, media outlets, and agency partners to amplify campaigns and initiatives. Incorporate Industry Trends: Research and apply best practices in communication to stay ahead in the field. Manage Projects Effectively: Track deadlines, approvals, and deliverables to keep communications projects on schedule. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related discipline highly preferred. 2 years of professional experience in marketing and communications. Knowledge and Skills Excellent creative / design skills. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) and Office 365 (SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook). Compelling writing ability and editing skills. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Effective multi-tasking, prioritizing and time management skills to meet deadlines. Website / social media editing skills. Experience working in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industry a plus. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a general, climate controlled, office environment. Physical Requirements This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Travel Requirements Limited to no travel will be required for this position.
