Salary: Depends on Qualifications Location : Cape Girardeau, MO Job Type: Full-Time Job Number: 202400342 Division: Academic Affairs Department: Student Support Services Opening Date: 10/02/2024 Position Summary Senior Administrative Assistant TRIO and Educational Access Programs Full-Time/Term/Grant-Funded Primary Responsibilities Provides clerical support to TRIO staff including scheduling appointments, meetings, and events; preparing routine correspondence; creating spreadsheets and reports; and screening telephone calls Assists in the coordination and development of intake files and related information Serves as a resource for inquiries made by students, faculty, and staff Monitors and manages confidential paperwork and information Maintains electronic and paper files/communications Processes and maintains TRIO budget expenditures such as purchase requisitions, expense reports, payroll, and travel Monitors and reconciles monthly budget reports for TRIO Programs Maintains StudentAccess program databases and ensures hardcopy file maintenance is up-to-date Collects and verifies data and electronically submits an Annual Performance Report to the U.S. Department of Education for both TRIO Programs Promotes and maintains the utilization of the TRIO Lab Supervises student assistants Assists with coordination of TRIO events and trips for both students and staff Completes annual fixed asset reports and maintains TRIO inventory Collaborates with University faculty, staff, and students to assist in meeting program objectives Serves on committees as assigned or supported by the program director Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel Thorough knowledge of hardware and software for data collection, reports, and data management Demonstrated successful experience in monitoring budgets Evidence of the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a team player Evidence of strong organizational and time management skills Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service Required Information & Deadline Application Deadline : To ensure full consideration, the application materials listed below must be received by October 18, 2024 .
