Job Description: Stepdown RN

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized care for patients transitioning from ICU-level care to general medical-surgical units.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and assist in managing critical but stable patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families about care protocols and recovery processes.

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Virginia or pact state licensure.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS (preferred).
• Experience: At least 1-2 years of Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience.

Shift Information:

• Typical shifts are 12 hours (day or night shifts), with weekend and holiday rotations as needed.
