Salary: $13.50 Hourly Location : UCMO - Warrensburg, MO Job Type: Student University Worker Job Number: S99559 Division: University Store Opening Date: 11/15/2024 Closing Date: Continuous Description This highly skilled position requires students to photograph products, people, and events and then prepare photos for use on ucmbookstore.com, social media, and other printed materials. Examples of Duties Photography: Students will have an opportunity to photograph various products, people, events, and the campus. Ability to capture and edit candid, action, and posed photos. Photo Organizing - Edit and organize photos in a shared drive. Photo Shoots - Recruit models and assist with scheduling and coordinating. Photoshop Knowledge - High skill level required using Photoshop. Web Page Product - Responsible for uploading pictures, creating descriptions, and organizing products on the ucmbookstore.com website. Writing - Student will write captions and/or posts to accompany the photos they take. Hardware - Experience preferred on the Macintosh platform and mobile devices. Social Media - Assist with conceptualizing, creating, scheduling, and posting content for ucmbookstore.com and the official UCM Store's social media sites, including, but not limited to Facebook and Instagram. Applicant must possess excellent problem-solving/analytical skills, and strong time management skills demonstrating an ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while managing multiple projects. Ability to work independently as well as with a team. Must be self-motivated. Candidate must be a sophomore-level student with photography experience. Candidate will work 15-20 hours per week, some of which may be irregular or outside the traditional workday. Summer work is required. Other duties as required, including but not limited to web order fulfillment and cashier assistance. Applicant must submit a portfolio with the application Typical Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Sophomore level or higher in college with photography experience. Demonstrated proficiency using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation. Demonstrated proficiency using software Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Lightroom. Preferred proficiency in web page maintenance.
