OVERVIEW OF THE AP SPECIALIST ROLE:
Process and manage vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
AP Specialist will perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receiving reports, and vendor invoices.
Verify and reconcile discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents.
Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
AP Specialist will maintain vendor files and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date.
Assist with month-end closing tasks, including accruals and account reconciliations.
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues promptly.
AP Specialist will collaborate with the procurement and project management teams to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.
Monitor and manage accounts payable aging reports.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR AP SPECIALIST ROLE:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field- preferred.
Relevant internship experience in accounts payable or a related field.
Proficiency in accounting software (Sage 300) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
