In this role, the Assistant Controller will collaborate closely with the Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting activities, streamline financial processes, and drive operational efficiency. The Assistant Controller is a newly created role that will report to the Controller
Key Responsibilities for the Assistant Controller
Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Assist with financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
Develop and maintain internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive financial performance.
Assist with audits, including preparing necessary documentation and coordinating with external auditors.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a mid-sized or large organization.
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
Excellent communication and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
