The Manufacturing Engineer will be a senior level employee and responsible for all engineering program/projects related to metal stamping operations - reporting directly to the site Director. You'll be joining a company with a close knit culture, that also has the resources of a large parent organization to greelight projects & invest heavily in this site! Client Details Our client is a metal stamping manufacturer that has been in business for over 60 years and currently experiencing growth upwards of 15% per yer the last 4 years - additionally, each quarterly bonus is paying out over 200% than expected. This company has around 100 people at their IL site and has seen numerous new projects related to facility improvements including the implementation of Robotics, Automated CNC presses, and other new equipment. Description Design opportunities will be present as job progresses and the Tooling Manager will develop and provide training in the design of fixtures and/or light die design using Solidworks. Developing of Manufacturing Process Improvement documents for the company. With training be responsible for customer engineering changes and blueprint revision notifications. Maintains and reviews the Press Specification list. With Training able to access and use ERP System mfg software program. With training estimates tooling and production costs using customer information, material and labor costs and any outside source work. Inputs all information in ERP System including prices and sources. Be able to read and interpret customer prints. Participate in Lean Manufacturing meetings and contribute to 5 "S" best practices. Participate in online learning for metalworking training program. Follow all applicable safety policies and procedures when working in the plant. Profile Bachelor's or technical degree 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, with a background in metal stamping or forming Knowledge of troubleshooting machinery and making process improvements Can create/write work instructions for operators (visual or written) Design fixtures and applications to improve operator efficiency and reduce waste/down time Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills Knowledge of ERP systems, EPICOR is a plus Experience with PLCs or Robotics is preferred Job Offer Base salary between $80,000 to $95,000 depending on level of experience 14% quarterly bonus 3 weeks of Paid Time Off 10 Company Holidays 401(k) match at 5% Medical, Dental, Vision benefits MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
