Overview

Stryten Energy is hiring a process engineer for our process engineering team to bridge the connection between chemical reaction requirements and the mechanical manufacturing process for active material preparation across our manufacturing portfolio in North America. The role is highly visible and impacts our oxide, paste mixing, and curing operations from a manufacturing efficiency, rate, operator safety, uptime, and quality capability viewpoints. You will help Stryten drive to the next level of manufacturing as we lean on your ability to mesh the chemical and mechanical aspects of production into reality.

Self-Starter with excellent problem solving, communication, and project management skills. Must be able to effectively organize, direct and control all aspects of process related projects with emphasis on safety, budgeting, team building and training.
Work effectively with all plant departments to establish operational efficiency of production equipment, process improvements that relate to improved product quality, increased capacity and continuous improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities
Responsible for executing new capital projects; roles include Project Manager or Plant Support Manager. Support all EHS initiatives and protocols that support a zero-injury culture; comply with all health and safety policies and procedures. Support a collaborative teamwork culture across all departments that promote positive working relationships with all departments, department supervisors, and department managers. Introduce and implement new materials, new processes, and new equipment. Generate cost reduction and product quality improvement ideas across Safety, Quality Cost, and Delivery. Utilize lean concepts on projects throughout the plant to achieve KPI goals. Provide engineering troubleshooting and problem-solving assistance to all departments as needed. Develop and maintain equipment SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures). Coordinate and implement safety and training programs for newly implemented processes. Responsible for teams relating to the elimination of critical equipment downtime issues (root cause analysis). Responsible for executing continuous improvement strategies in areas of expertise. Lead operational departments in identifying best practices that ultimately reduce equipment downtime, i.e. reduce recurring equipment issues, reduce setup time, quick-change methodology and training. Comply with current Quality Systems requirements. Perform other work as assigned by Management including 5S cleaning. Undertake assigned projects as directed by Plant or Department Manager.
Qualifications
B.S. Degree in Engineering required. Prior process experience in a manufacturing environment, two to four years preferred. Must have exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills. Must be a team-oriented person with exceptional communication skills. General Office Equipment, PC, and various software to include JDE, including Microsoft Office. Microsoft Office programs i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management. Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and walking as necessary. Wearing of PPE is required. Will be exposed to extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid) Occasional lifting from grams up to 50 pounds
