SECURITY CLEARANCE:
Applicant must be eligible for a Department of Defense (DoD) personnel security clearance. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the planning, design, evaluation, and troubleshooting of mission-critical, multi-level secure, Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) systems. Implement secure protocol suites and configure communication media with in-line encryption devices, concentrators, and various serial devices. Conduct research to solve complex problems and provide input for future modernization efforts. Resolve difficult interoperability problems between integrated communications stations and production networks. May work in a lab environment to test system designs and provide test report feedback. Participate in Engineering reviews as required. Provide technical representation at meetings with senior staff as required in support of designated Operating Authority systems. EXPERIENCE:
Ten (10) years of professional experience with a Master's and Fourteen (14) year's of experience with a Bachelor's degree in computer design, software development or computer networks. Five (5) years of experience of technical experience in support of TACNET, or other Navy C4I systems. Experience may be achieved simultaneously. EDUCATION:
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with a field concentration in computer science. Individual should have relevant certifications: Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM)/Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) or with COR approval complete a vendor/platform specific certification such as: Microsoft role-based certifications, Microsoft Certified Applicable s Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP), CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), VMWare Certified Professional (VCP), Cloud certifications, etc.
